Every Piece, One of a Kind:
Because we work with deadstock leather, no two tops are exactly alike. The embossing pattern across the leather varies piece to piece, what you receive is your own version of the design, not an identical copy of the photos.
The same goes for the cut on select styles — certain tops feature back designs that vary slightly from piece to piece, the shape of a cutout. It’s not a fault, it’s intention: a small point of difference that means your top won’t look quite like anyone else’s.
Leather Care Guide:
Devlin Lane pieces are made from genuine, deadstock designer leather and cowhide. Real leather is a natural material — treat it well and it'll age beautifully; treat it roughly and it won't forgive you. Please follow this care guide to keep your piece looking its best.
Never:
- Never machine wash or tumble dry your leather piece — the agitation and heat will warp, crack, and permanently damage the leather.
- Never soak it in water or submerge it.
- Never use household detergents, bleach, or harsh chemical cleaners.
- Never dry leather with direct heat (hairdryer, heater, direct sun) — it will dry out, crack, and shrink unevenly.
Everyday care:
- Dust and wipe with a soft, dry cloth regularly to stop dirt and oils building up on the surface.
- Store in a cool, dry place out of direct sunlight — sunlight fades and dries out leather over time. Avoid airtight plastic, which traps moisture.
Spills and stains:
- Blot — don't rub — spills immediately with a clean, dry cloth.
- If a small amount of moisture is unavoidable, use a barely damp cloth, then air dry naturally, away from direct heat.
- Always test any cleaning product on a small, hidden area first.
A note on character:
Genuine leather is a living material — grain variation, natural markings, and a developing patina are part of what makes each Devlin Lane piece one of a kind, not a flaw.
Cancelling Your Order
- You can cancel your order for a full refund within 24hrs of placing it, as long as production hasn’t started.
- To cancel, contact us as soon as possible at info@devlinlane.com with your order number.
- Once your piece has moved into production, we’re unable to cancel or refund the order — at that point, the leather has been cut and allocated specifically to your piece, and (given the deadstock, limited nature of our materials) it generally can’t be reused for another order.
